We offer a variety of courses to suit different needs, ranging from our Introduction course through to our flagship course, 'The Mini Residency in Breathing Physiology and Breathing Training Part 1'. This is an extensive 44 hours of professional development which aims to train you to become a Buteyko Breathing Educator. A shorter version which is self-guided is also available and ideal for busy health professionals who wish to add Breathing Education to their therapies.

Introduction To Breathing Physiology and Breathing Training

This short course is to introduce students to the importance of healthy breathing and to the concept of breathing training and how it is possible to change breathing patterns. Course materials include pre-recorded lecture slides filmed in High Definition, plus research papers and videos showing capnometry with clients. BONUS: Purchasing this course entitles you to a $350 credit towards the Mini Residency Part 1. Mini Residency in Breathing Physiology and Breathing Training Part 1 - Oct 2025

This in depth course is by application only. Click on this box to contact us. The course is intended for existing health practitioners to learn to become BreathCoach Buteyko breathing educators. It is split into 2 Sections as follows: Section 1 - Breathing Knowledge: 7 consecutive weekly Sessions of approximately 135 minutes (on average) pre-recorded lecture material totalling 16 hours. Plus 7 live Zoom Q and A Check ins (1 hour each). Plus 10 hours of extra learning materials. Section 2 - The Breathing Experience (not availalbe with self-guided option) Experiential breathing training workshops. You are acting as a 'breathing client'. Based on the classic Buteyko Institute Method and runs for 4 consecutive days (2 hours each day). Plus 1 private consultation before and 2 private consultations after. Hof Vs. Buteyko - Complimentary Paradoxes

This 2 hour course compares and contrasts the Buteyko Method with the Wim Hof Method. Dan Hanson has studied and practised both methods extensively Dan trained and qualified with The Buteyko Institute of Breathing and Health (BIBH) in 2011-12. He began practising the Wim Hof Method in 2019 and quickly began to study it through the Wim Hof Academy (WHA). After completing The Fundamentals training online he travelled to Los Angeles to train with some WHAs top practitioner trainers. Since that time he has completed several cold exposure expeditions into the Snowy Mountains of Australia and runs regular workshops for people wishing to experience the benefits of breathwork and cold exposure. During this lecture which is recorded in High Definition, Dan shares the benefits of both methods and describes his own philosophy on how and when each of the two methods may be beneficial.

Guided Breathwork Session

This MP3 track will guide you through a session of breathwork similar to that used in the Wim Hof Method. As well as a state of deep relaxation, you may experience sensations of tingling, numbness, and twitching. This is all normal, but please follow the safety instructions carefully to ensure your experience is optimal. The product comprises of an introduction track with instructions on how to do it safely, as well as the session which lasts around 30 minutes. Lie back, relax and enjoy the process. Contraindications include being under age 18, asthma, epilepsy, pregnancy, and heart conditions. If you have any of these please do not try this method using these recordings and speak to your local breathwork instructor and your medical Dr to see if it is safe for you to try another form of breathwork in a 1-on-1 session with an instructor.
